My Experience getting into the LANDMARK FORUM

I did my landmark forum in Sep 2005 and since then there has been a shift in the way i am leading my life. I got to know about landmark education in ahmedabad where in i was doing my PG in Business Enterprise Management in 2004 . During a dinner party by one of my class mate, Her father was giving an introduction about the program and it was one of the most boring lectures ever heard. Felt like running away from there. At the end of the conversation he gave a website information www.landmarkeducation.com. I had a habit of writing notes in a pocket note book and had written the website in it and forgot about it.

After coming back to bangalore in 2005 one day i was transferring notes from my old note book to a new one. I came across this website and was wondering what was it. I went online and checked the site, was pretty good site and sufficient information was available, but i was not convinced to do the program at that time. So couple of months passed by and again i went through the site and saw that i could attend an introduction to the program for free. I noted down the date and it was in August sometime. I attend the program and the introduction was good. There were people sharing about how the program had impacted there life. Ok i thought u had problems and the program was useful to you. But what made me register into the program was i was curious to know what i don't know that i don't know about my life, this what they said i would get in the program. I was wondering how can any program tell me what i don't in my life, where in i am the only person who know myself what i want in life much better then anyone else.

So my program was on sep 29th 2005 and had to fill up a form and it asked me what do i intend to accomplish out of participating in the program. I didn't know what to write there was wondering what can i accomplish out of participating in this program and i don't know really what the program is about. So i looked at my life and wrote down, being organized, being productive and managing my time would be worthwhile and sent my balance payment for the course. Then one day i received a call from landmark and there was this person extremely courteous asking about what i had written in the form and coaching me what else i could accomplish in the program. She left me with this question if the program gave you anything you want for yourself and your life is available in the forum what will you want to accomplish. That put me into an inquiry what else do i want to accomplish in life. The only thing i wanted at that point of time was to clear my dad's 30 lakh liability. That was like an impossible task as our business at that point was doing a turnover of around 30 lakhs and are loan interest from money lenders where as high at 48% per annum. So whatever profit we earned it would go into paying the interest only, it was like a vicious loop and was impossible to get out of it.

One the first the program Sep29th 2005, i was told my program would be held in Tarala Balu Kendra in R T Nagar. So i reached the venue early on the first day. At the venue i was greeted by people who were wearing yellow name tags and certain people siting on empty chairs. I went and sat along with them. Sharp at 8:30 AM we were allowed to take our name tags and go inside. As i went inside i could sense the auditorium was air conditioned and people again where greeting us, since i was the first few to come in, i had went and sat in the second row. Then the program was to start at 9 , i was playing with my mobile till then, by 9 when i looked back saw i was amazed by the number of people participating. It was easily a number of around 300 people. What was even more amazing was i noticed people from all kinds of age where there, i could notice they were student, house wifes, professionals, retired personals etc. I was under the impression the program is only for professionals , then i told myself this is going to be interesting program. Then sharp at 9, a tall Grey haired man comes to the stage and introduces himself , "My name is Praveen Puri and i am going to lead your program for the next three and half days..." and rest is history.
